Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, including sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Create diverse and delicious menus for our restaurant, meeting and events, and breakfast buffet, catering to a range of tastes and dietary preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistently high standards of quality, taste, and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with the events team to design and execute exceptional menus for conferences, groups, and other special occasions.
  • Manage inventory, control costs, and optimize kitchen operations to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Stay updated with culinary trends, techniques, and industry developments, infusing fresh ideas into our menus and offerings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a hotel or larger restaurant.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Culinary expertise and creativity demonstrated through a diverse and innovative menu portfolio.
  • Excellent knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including inventory management and cost control.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences and exceptional service.

The position is a part of our senior leadership team, works close with the colleagues i food & beverage front of house and hotel operations, and reports directly to General Manager Jakob de Vries. The position is full time and working hours are mainly office hours, but weekends and evening work occur.
