POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports directly to the site Project Manager and will be responsible for the delivery of strategic key process upgrade projects at the Wicklow Site. He / She will help to establish a project team to ensure timely delivery and handover of this project.
The role will involve a high level of accountability with responsibility for project delivery at the API Manufacturing site in Co Wicklow. This role will coordinate the efforts of all project team members and outside bodies to ensure the project is delivered on schedule and within budget in accordance with all Safety and Quality standards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Process Upgrade Project Engineer will provide project management leadership for the site's project delivery. The individual will work closely with the Site Project Manager, Technical Engineering Lead, Site Engineering Leader, Engineering Functional Leads, Project Engineers to ensure successful completion of project scope and objectives on schedule and within budget.
Key objectives of this position include:
- Develop a core project delivery team for process upgrade projects with values of $1M+
- Manage the external Engineering Design partners
- Manage the on site Construction, CQV and handover activities
- Use of Project Management governance tools, processes and procedures
- Work with Department and Functional Leads to develop the project scope and user requirement specification
- Manage the development of scope, cost estimate and project schedule and maintain throughout the project
- Develop and manage a project execution plan for approved projects
- Main point of contact for process upgrade projects
- Provide weekly and monthly reports for project performance and present to Site Leadership
- Manage capital spend programme and update capital database with monthly spend forecasts
- Liaise with internal Teams (Operations, Quality, GMT, EHS, Regulatory, Supply Chain etc)
- Compliance to regulatory and Company quality procedures
- Environmental, Health and Safety requirements
- Ensuring all Standards are maintained
- Contribute to the overall performance of the site and the achievement of the Company's strategic objectives
Education and Experience
- Primary Degree in Mechanical / Process / Chemical / Electrical Engineering
- Project Experience with Process Plant, Utilities, Electrical, Maintenance and Facilities systems and ideally within a highly regulated environment
- Understanding of Project Life Cycle and adherence to stage gate process within
- Development of User Requirement Specifications and High-Level Scope documentation
- Project Cost and Schedule Control
- Commissioning and Qualification of Process and Utility Systems
- Understanding of GMP and the Quality standards required in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing sector
- Understanding and experience of working with construction regulations and Project Health and Safety requirements
